Steve Van Zandt doesn’t like all eyes on him
NEW YORK (AP) – Steve Van Zandt was a bundle of nerves as he walked the red carpet at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York on Saturday for the premiere of a documentary about him. Van Zandt says despite his “confusing, contradictory wardrobe,” he does not like being the center of attention. He jokes he’s having a nervous breakdown but trying to be cool about it. The film “Stevie Van Zandt: Disciple” will stream on Max starting June 22.
Roger Daltrey retires the scream from “Won’t Get Fooled Again”
LOS ANGELES (AP) – Roger Daltrey hopes you’ll do the screaming for him. Daltrey tells Billboard magazine he plans on doing the song “Won’t Get Fooled Again” on his upcoming tour, but he wants the audience to do the scream. Daltrey says he’s done that scream for 55 years and it’s “brutal on the vocal cords.” He says he’s more into singing these days, and “at the age of 80, I think I deserve to be.” Daltrey’s solo tour begins June 10 in Glenside, Pennsylvania.
Taylor Swift still has #1 album; ATEEZ debuts in second
LOS ANGELES (AP) – Taylor Swift’s “The Tortured Poets Department” takes a seventh week at the number-one spot on the Billboard 200 albums chart. It moved another 148,000 units this week. ATEEZ debuts in second with “Golden Hour: Part One.” “Hit Me Hard and Soft” by Billie Eilish drops one spot to third. “One Thing At A Time” by Morgan Wallen is number four. Shaboozey debuts in fifth with “Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going.”
